Mymensingh Zilla School (Bengali: ময়মনসিংহ জিলা স্কুল), a boys-only school, is located in the city of Mymensingh, Bangladesh. It was established on the 4th of November, 1853. Though it is a Bengali medium school now the school started as an English medium one. Since 1990 the school has been running two shifts, morning and day. The morning shift starts at 7:30 am and the day shift starts at 12:00 pm. The school has two nearby campuses which are quite scenic. One is meant for academic and administrative buildings while the other houses the school hostel. Mymensingh Zilla School was established in 1853 during the British Raj, and is one of the oldest schools in Bangladesh. Bhagawan Chandra Bose, father of scientist Jagadish Chandra Bose, was the first headmaster of the school. In 1846 it started as an English medium school called ‘Hardinge School’ at Mr. F. B. Camp’s, the then Deputy Collector of the East India Company. On the 3rd of November 1853 it started as a full-fledged English medium school near Kachari (present Laboratory School). However, it is no longer an English medium one. Currently, it follows the national curriculum of Bangladesh and the medium of instruction is Bengali. It was called “multilateral pilot school” during the time of first Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh, S.M.A Kajmi, by the government. The main and present school structures were built in 1912. In 1965 the school compound was designed and reformed by an American science teacher, Mr. Dril. The school had been used as a base of the British Army during World War II. It was also used as a training camp for freedom fighters during Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. And more than 40 students sacrificed their lives, that time, fighting against the brutish Pakistan Army....

Mastermind School

Mastermind School is a school in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It offers English-medium education to students from play group age to grade 12, leading to the IGCSE and GCE A-Level examinations, held under the Edexcel examination board. The main buildings are located in Dhanmondi, with a branch in Uttara. The school’s principal is Syed Fakhruddin Ahmed, who is also the senior physics teacher at the school. The school has over 3000 students, and 300 teaching staff. EIIN – 110957 and School Code: 4014.n the year 1884 a school established in the heart of Manikganj named Manikganj Middle English School with the active collaboration of local pedagogues, education lovers and Jamindar(landlord).Department of Education powered by Emperor of India owned a land to establish this school. Later, Manikganj Middle English School elevated to Manikganj High English School. The Founding headmaster was Rajinikanth Roy. In 1955, a decision made to omit the “English” word from School name, then after the deletion of “English” word, it becomes Manikganj High School. As the school established in the reign of Queen Victoria of Britain, people of the region call this school as Victoria High School. In the 1960’s, Pakistan government made a decision to nationalize a Boys ‘High School and a Girls’ High School in each subdivision, who provides quality education and has standard result. In 1968 Manikganj High School becomes a government School for its inheritance and the best quality education. After the formation of Bangladesh it got some changes in education and continuously it’s upgrading to provide the best quality education. The school is now providing education from grade six to grade 10 (locally called class six to class ten) and then the students who pass the 10th grade, attend for a public examination named Secondary School Certificate examination, by which the students get a secondary school certificate to get admission in any college for higher secondary certificate. It has two shift of schooling a MORNING and an EVENING. Manikganj Govt. high School is very strict about school dress, student must wear a sky blue shirt and a navy blue pants with a pair of sneakers to enter the school campus.The school provides quality tiffin at the break time in a very affordable price. Students get 40 minutes break time from Saturday to Wednesday and 35 minutes on Thursday....
